Their story

Cara Creek Eco Lodge was founded by Ashley and Rory in 2017, blending their passions for natural building and wellness to create an off-grid sanctuary in Central Portugal. After meeting in Guatemala and falling in love, they discovered this majestic valley where two rivers meet, transforming an overgrown land into a sustainable retreat center.

Today, the lodge operates as a wellness haven where guests practice yoga, connect with nature, and experience sustainable living through their garden-to-table meals, wood-fired amenities, and solar power systems. The retreat embodies their vision of conscious living meeting comfort, welcoming visitors from around the world for transformative experiences. Read more about them.
