  • All year round. The winter months (October to May) are cooler and ideal for birdwatching with many migratory species present. The summer months (June to September) are warmer, but the low water levels of the lake attract a wide variety of animals to the shore to feed and drink. The opportunity to witness swimming elephants is available year-round.
