Escape to Cabin Falls Ecolodge, a picture-perfect retreat perched atop a 30-foot waterfall deep in the heart of wild Temagami. This intimate, hand-crafted wilderness sanctuary sits on the Lady Evelyn River, surrounded by thousands of acres of ancient old-growth pine forests.
Accessible only by floatplane or canoe with no roads leading to the property, this remote ecolodge offers the ultimate digital detox. Built in harmony with nature by Canadian adventurers, the lodge blends rustic elegance with environmental stewardship. Wake to birdsong and rushing water, enjoy natural swimming holes, sauna sessions, and stargazing while experiencing authentic wilderness living from May through October.
Cabin Falls Ecolodge is owned and managed by renowned Canadian adventurers Hap and Andrea Wilson, who share decades of wilderness-tripping experience and a deep love for Temagami. Andrea is an ethics professional and vice-chair of the environmental organization Earthroots. She brings her passion for interior and environmental design to the lodge’s rustic beauty. Hap, an award-winning artist, author, photographer, and former park ranger, co-founded Earthroots and has authored 14 books on wilderness conservation.
Together, they hand-crafted the ecolodge using draw knives to shape logs and create artisanal furniture. Materials were flown and paddled into the remote site. Their goal was to create an authentic wilderness experience that blends rustic elegance with environmental stewardship. Read more about them.
