4 Longest Ziplines in Big Island, Hawaii in 2025

Hawaii’s Big Island offers four incredible zipline adventures, each promising breathtaking views of a famous waterfall like Umauma’s multi-tiered falls. One of these zipline courses even soars above 14 different waterfalls. Prices range from $208 to $277 per person.

There are only four zipline courses in Big Island, and none of them is near Kona. Botanical World Adventures, Umauma Falls Zipline and Hawaii Zipline Tours offer multi-line ziplining courses, with the longest single line stretching up to half a mile (2,640 feet) near Hilo, almost 80 miles away from Kona.

While Kohala Zipline is in Hawi, approx. 60 miles away from Kona offering ziplining combined with dipping in a private waterfall pool.

Botanical World Adventures

Zip Isle of Botanical World Adventures features a thrilling eight-line zipline system set across Hawaii’s Hakalua Coast ranging from 200 feet to half a mile (2,640 feet). The ziplines soar 200 feet above the rainforest canopy, offering panoramic views of one of the 13 stunning waterfalls on Big Island, Kamaʻeʻe Falls.

There are two dual-lines where riders in average go between 12-16 mph, some reaching up to 35-40 mph while gliding alongside a partner on the parallel cables.

Located at 31-240 Old Mamalahoa Highway in Hakalau, the park sits 16 miles north of Hilo, approx. 30 minutes by car. The zipline tours priced at $277 per person. in 2025. The package includes safety gear, expert guides, a brief training session and a bus ride to the top of the hill. Free parking is available on-site and as always, advanced registrations are encouraged.

Umauma Falls Zipline Tour

The Umauma Falls Zipline is 9-line zipline course over 14 waterfalls, including the three cascading tiers of Umauma Falls. It includes four dual-lines and a suspension bridge.

The full course is in total 2 miles (10,560 feet), but Line #4 is one of the highlights since visitors will zip over 2000 feet.

Umauma Falls Zipline is at 31-313 Old Mamalahoa Highway in Hakalau almost right next to the Zip Isle of Botanical World Adventures. Located 16 miles north of Hilo, visitors need approx. 30 minutes to reach it by car. Turn onto Umauma Falls Road and follow the signs to the welcome center.

Tours start at $242 per person in 2025 and kids up to 4 years (!!!) can go after adults pay $232 for them to participate. The price includes all safety equipment, professional guides and a short training session. Advance reservations are required, with multiple daily tours running only on weekdays.

Hawaii Zipline Tours

Hawaii Zipline Tours offers a seven-line course with breathtaking view of apple banana fields, Hawaiian ginger, pineapples and sugarcane. It is an over 2.5-hour adventure within the rainforest canopy.

The experience starts with shorter lines before building up to the grand finale: a half-mile zip (2,640 feet) soaring above Kolekole Falls, just downstream from Akaka Falls. This final ride lasts over a minute, flying high above a 450-foot ravine with the waterfall crashing beneath you.

Visitors can find Hawaii Zipline Tours at 28-1692 Old Mamalahoa Highway in Honomu, approx. 30 minutes from Hilo. The price is $208.95 per person in 2025. Advanced booking is highly recommended.

Kohala Zipline

The Kohala Zipline is a a 9-line zipline course featuring six aerial bridges, a rappel and dual-track lines where you can reach a speed up to 45 mph. Visitors going for the Zip&Dip package can dip in a private waterfall after they finish ziplining.

Two certified guides maintain strict safety protocols while operating the course, which rises to heights of 150 feet above the forest floor.

Located in North Kohala in the town of Hawi between mile marker 22 and 23, visitors can reach the zipline park after approx. an hour drive from Kona.

The tour costs for adults $235 per person and for children between 8-12 years $210 in 2025. The price includes all necessary equipment and safety gear. Advanced reservations are required, with check-in at their base in Kapaau town. Free parking is available on-site for all participants.
