4 Longest Ziplines in Kauai in 2025

4 Longest Ziplines in Kauai in 2025

Ziplining in Kauai is an adrenaline-pumping way to take in the island’s breathtaking landscapes. Four operators, Outfitters Kauai, Kauai Backcountry Adventures, Koloa Zipline and Shaka Zipline Kauai offer ziplining tours in Kauai with prices range from $55 to $255 per person. Advanced reservations are highly recommended, as spots fill fast. The below information will help you choose the right zipline adventure for you.

Outfitters Kauai

Outfitters Kauai is the oldest zipline company in Kauai, operating the longest single-line zipline on the island called the Fly Line Superman. It is a 4,000-foot zipline stretching across the scenic Kipu Ranch.

The line soars 250 feet above the ground, reaching speeds up to 50 mph during the thrilling 45-second ride. This dual-track racing zipline includes an advanced automatic braking system, making it a safe choice for both beginners and experienced riders.

The price for only the Fly Line Superman is $55 per person in 2025. The price includes safety equipment, professional guides and transportation from the check-in location to the launch point. Three other packages are available, priced from $170 to $255 per person in 2025 depending on how many lines out of the ten you want to try. Reservations are required.

Located at 230 Kipu Rd in Lihue, the zipline course sits just 10-15 minutes from downtown Lihue.

Kauai Backcountry Adventures

Kauai Backcountry Adventures operates a 13,000-foot zipline system featuring seven lines. The cables soar up to 250 feet above pristine valleys, offering a bird’s-eye view of the former Lihue Plantation. Each line ranges between 800 to 2,100 feet in length, making it one of the longest continuous zipline experiences in Hawaii.

Visitors can combine ziplining with tubing along a 2.5-mile long open canal and through five tunnels. The canal was an irrigation system for the sugar crops in Lihue Plantation, built in 1870. Advanced booking is recommended as they sell out fast. They even have a waiting list you can join if you were out of luck.

The zipline course is located in Lihue on Kuhio Highway, approx. 10-15 minutes from downtown Lihue. Visitors can book ziplining for $156 per person in 2025, with usually two daily departures at 8 am and 12 pm, but only during weekdays. Tours include safety gear, guide service and transportation from the check-in location to the course.

Koloa Zipline

Koloa Zipline stands out with its impressive 8-line course spanning over 2 miles (5,280 feet) above Hawaii oldest sugar plantation, Old Sugar Mill with views of Waita Reservoir.

The longest line stretches quarter mile (1,320 feet), soaring riders across Kauai’s scenic landscape. Their tandem lines let couples and friends zip side-by-side in different positions from superman to upside down or backwards.

Located near Koloa Town, the zipline is located in 1 Mahaulepu Rd. Reservations are required, with prices starting at $159 per person in 2025 for a 3.5-hour tour.

Shaka Zipline Kauai

Located on Kauai’s south shore in Poipu, the Shaka Zipline stretches an impressive 2,400 feet across three valleys.

This exhilarating ride sends adventurers soaring at speeds up to 50 mph with a drop of 200 feet. The dual-line system lets participants zip side by side.

The zipline operates at Kiahuna Plantation Drive. The price per person for the 8-zipline tour is $159.95 and for the 5-line tour is $129.95 in 2025. While the first one lasts 2.5 hours, the shorter is only 1.5 hours.

I recommend booking tours in advance through their website. The morning slots tend to have clearer weather conditions. Children must be at least 8 years old and weigh between 60-260 pounds to participate. Free parking is available on-site.
