Since June 2024, South Africa is home to the longest zipline in the world, the K3 zipline that stretches to 10,590 feet. However, the country has many amazing ziplines, some out in the open, while others are over rivers and waterfalls.
Beyond the big 5 safari animals and game reserves, ziplining is a thrilling adventure you can add to your itinerary. Here is the 12 biggest zipline parks in South Africa you can choose from:

K3 Zipline
The K3 Zipline is Africa’s longest single-span zipline, stretching an incredible 10,590 feet across the scenic Riversonderend Valley. Riders soar up to 90 mph while hanging 525 feet above the valley floor, making it one of the continent’s most extreme zipline experiences.
Located about 80 miles from Cape Town, it is easily accessed via the N2 highway to Caledon. The experience costs R1800 per person (approximately $100 in 2025), and includes a short safety briefing and all gear.
Operated by SA Forest Adventures, tours run daily from 8 AM to 4 PM. Advance booking is highly recommended to secure a spot.
Mossel Bay Zipline
The Mossel Bay Zipline is the longest over-ocean zipline in South Africa, stretching an impressive 3,773 feet. Thrill-seekers are suspended about 295 feet above the ocean, reaching an average speeds of 50 mph above crashing waves and rocky shoreline.
Mossel Bay is along the Garden Route between Cape Town and Knysna. Also operated by SA Forest Adventures, the zipline runs daily, weather permitting.
Visitors can easily access the site from town since it is on Point Road. No prior experience is needed. The ticket price is R880 person (as of 2025).
Knysna Ziplines Tour
Knysna Ziplines feature a network of lines stretching up to 2,625 feet each, with a total length of approximately 2.1 miles. Riders soar over deep forest valleys and rocky cliffs, reaching heights over 650 feet.
The full tour takes about two hours and offers panoramic views of the Garden Route.
The zipline base is located just outside Knysna, about 10 minutes by car from the town center. Also operated by SA Forest Adventures, tours are available daily from 8 AM to 6 PM.

Cape Town Zipline at Silvermist Organic Wine Estate
The Cape Town Zipline experience includes 7 ziplines between 12 platforms with a total length of about 1.43 miles, crossing canyons and forested ridges at heights up to 509 feet. The longest line stretches around 1,640 feet. The full adventure lasts 1.5 to 2 hours.
The zipline park is inside the Silvermist Organic Wine Estate in Constantia, about 25 minutes by car from central Cape Town. Then a 4×4 shuttle brings guests from the base to the starting platform.

Adrenaline Addo Adventure Park
Adrenalin Addo Adventure Park features South Africa’s longest double zipline over a river, stretching 1,640 feet and reaching speeds up to 50 mph. Riders launch from a platform 230 feet above the Sundays River.
The experience includes a short raft ride and guided walk to the top. The total activity time is about 1 hour.
Addo is about 50 minutes from Port Elizabeth about 20 minutes from Addo Elephant National Park. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday between 9 AM and 4 PM.
Tickets for the combination of ziplining, superman line and swing is R660 for adults and R560 for kids above 13 years old. The 4×4 ride is extra R60 per person, so is the bungee trampoline, which is R100 for adults and R60 for kids (2025 prices).
Ziplining in Elgin Valley
The zipline in Elgin Valley includes 11 lines in total, with the longest around 984 feet. Total line length is approximately 1.2 miles.
The adventure runs through mountain ravines and waterfalls in the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve. The full tour will likely take up to 4 hours.
The site is near Grabouw, about an hour from Cape Town. Daily tours run between 8 AM and 2 PM. Guests can self-drive or book a tour with transport.

Ceres Zipline Tour
